Logica UI Design

LogicaCMG are the world leader in SMS and Multimedia Messaging Platforms (MMS). Their software and hardware are behind the mobile messaging offering of many of the worlds largest mobile network operators.

When LogicaCMG identified a need to integrate several of their existing messaging application interfaces into a single platform UI they chose Frontend to provide expert usability and interface design consultancy.

Project Requirements

• Provide a flexible User Interface framework, initially for two SMS applications.
• Ensure that user interface architecture and look and feel elements can be applied to new applications as they are developed.
• Ensure that UI elements are compatible with Logica’s existing internal Java Swing resources.
• Incorporate the strong LogicaCMG brand guidelines.

Project Outcomes

Frontend delivered a modular flexible UI which incorporate the best elements of the Logica brand with the subtle restrain Java Swing look and feel.

Along with the messaging interface designs Frontend developed an iconic language for use in a wide range of mobile messaging application. These icons were incorporated into a range of different of network monitoring and management applications for use by system administrators.
