Dalgety Agri-Business Website

Dalgety is the leading independent Agricultural Merchant in the UK, providing over half of Britain's arable farmers with certified seeds, fertiliser, agronomy advice and crop marketing skills. When the company decided to join the First4Farming consortium, Frontend were contracted to design and develop the Dalgety web pages.

Dalgety and the First4Farming Web Portal
First4Farming.com is an e-commerce consortium for the agricultural and rural business sectors. The Portal provides news, weather, prices, business tools as well as a Marketplace where manufacturers, merchants and distributors can sell their products and services. First4Farming provides agri-businesses with a way to take advantage of the greater business efficiency possible through e-commerce and electronic document exchange.

The Project
As part of the development of the Dalgety Website, a Content Management System (CMS) based on the F4F ATG Dynamo ebusiness Platform was implemented, this CMS allows Dalgety staff to easily manage their own website sections for user management, content creation and publication.

Dalgety offers a wide range of products and services, with extensive information to be made available to customers through the new website. A substantial amount of work was done to organise this information into a structure that would be intuitive, making it easy for customers to find the information they required.
