Mapflow provide some of the worlds leading organisations with location intelligent software to solve complex business problems. Examples include applications for transport agencies to change driving behaviour through road pricing schemes and insurance companies to adapt their business models based on the risks and opportunities created by climate change.

Frontend worked with Mapflow on the design and development of their geo-underwriting application to improve pricing and risk assessment processes within the property insurance industry. By calibrating information such as the risk of natural disaster, locality to public infrastructure and insurance policy density, the application calculates the level of risk and insurability. Frontend designed an application to streamline this process and to present insurance industry professionals with an intuitive aggregated result.

Frontend conducted extensive research in the area of insurance geo-underwriting to determine the exact requirements for the application and predict future requirements. Frontend produced interaction wire frames outlining the task-flows for the application. Graphic design was applied to these wireframes to create concepts for the final interface design. The chosen concept was built to allow for further adaptation and expansion using accessible software development.
